It’s not just Valentine’s Day that’s prompted us to make the loved-up Honda Jazz ad our February pick of the month. It’s because this is a great example of what stand-out radio creative does best – good old-fashioned storytelling to bring the listeners in, before the rug pull and final reveal.

Only halfway through the 30-second spot do you realise we’re not eavesdropping in on a chat about the merits of Jimmy, Lorenzo and other ex-boyfriends. Elvis’s heated seats and steering wheel give the game away…

The ad neatly and humorously highlights the loyalty the model inspires, as owners return time and time again to repurchase the same car, often naming each one as they go to express their devotion.

We hope that your Valentine this year is as gorgeous as Jimmy, as reliable as Lorenzo, and makes you feel as warm and fuzzy as owners of a Honda Jazz.
