Commercial radio industry welcomes new DCMS Secretary of State

Radiocentre CEO Matt Payton has written to the new Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport, Lisa Nandy, to congratulate her on behalf of the commercial radio industry following her appointment on 5th July.  

In a letter to the new DCMS Secretary of State, Matt highlighted the important role that commercial radio plays with both listeners and in the wider UK creative economy. He also outlined future priorities for the sector, including the role and funding of the BBC, as well as bringing the new Media Act into force.
