Matt Dyson Joins Absolute Radio’s Breakfast Show

Matt Dyson is leaving XFM to take the newsreader role on the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio.

Christian O’Connell said “I’ve been a fan of Matt’s work for a while and he was the first person I wanted to try and get to join us when we found out Andrew Bailey was leaving”

Matt will also be involved in Absolute Radio’s Rock N Roll Football programming which sees the station offer live and exclusive commentary from the Barclays Premier League every Saturday at 3pm plus post-match shows from Ian Wright on Saturdays and comedian Rob Beckett on Sundays.

Dyson has spent just under a decade at XFM in London, working on Breakfast Shows with the likes of Lauren Laverne, Shaun Keaveny, Dave Berry, Danny Wallace and Jon Holmes.  He’s also presented his own show on Saturday afternoons and as a music news journalist, he’s covered red-carpets at the Mercury Prize and Q Awards and interviewed some big names in music and film from Sir Paul McCartney to Liam Neeson.

Matt Dyson will join Absolute Radio in October.
