Creative Spotlight: Aldi’s Christmas food

Aldi has emerged as one of the nation’s best-loved Christmas advertisers in recent years, and this year the retailer is on full festive form. Our Ad of the Month picks up from where the TV ad lets off, with preparations at Aldi in full swing now that Kevin the Carrot has set the Christmas Spirit free.

Aldi switched focus for the radio ad onto the Christmas delights on offer this season. Not a bad shout, given the number of Christmas shoppers are most likely listening to the radio on the way to the shops or preparing at home. Aldi has ensured integration with the wider campaign, with consistent use of music, brand characters, poetic storytelling and voiceover from the inimitable Jim Broadbent. A Christmas cracker indeed.
