Bauer Media extends kiss radio brand to Norway and Finland

Bauer Media is set to launch the award winning KISS radio brand across Finland and Norway, marking the first time the media group has leveraged its radio brands outside of the UK. KISS Finland and KISS and KISSTORY Norway will be run by local management and content teams with each country tailoring the music output for their national radio audiences.

The move follows Bauer Media’s acquisition of Finnish commercial radio business Radio Nova from broadcaster MTV, part of the Bonnier Group and SBS Radio from Discovery Communicatons in 2015, which saw Bauer become Europe’s leading radio broadcaster with operations in the UK, Poland, Germany and Slovakia. Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

In the UK, The KISS Network broadcasts to 5.4million listeners each week and is the leading multimedia brand to reach 15-24 year olds. The brand is famous for playing the very best in new music and is also known for its standalone KISSTORY channel which spins Non Stop Old-Skool and Anthems with the biggest tunes across Hip Hop, R’n’B, Dance and Garage 24/7. The KISSTORY sub-brand is complemented by club nights in London, Bristol, Ibiza and Marbella and it is also home to 35 hours of specialist DJ programming every week.

Bauer Media UK CEO Paul Keenan commented:“More KISS is great for listeners across Europe. Outstandingly successful in the UK, I am confident that it will deliver highly valuable audiences in the Nordics“.
